With regret, we inform club members of the passing of former KJ Bob Squires on February 10th, aged 68, after a long battle with cancer. Bob was one of the best veteran runners this club has ever seen. He still holds no fewer than 4 club age-group records, including the 55-59yrs 10,000m track record when he ran an incredible 35.26 at 58 years of age! Bob also won numerous state titles including being NSW Road Champion in his age-group. Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife Patricia and children Robert and Paul. His funeral will be held in the South Chapel at Woronora Crematorium, Sutherland, on Wednesday February 17th, from 11am.
